Attendees described the workshop as “excellent”, “exceeding expectation”, “very relevant” and of “a great value” to their organisation.
The day’s agenda was packed with external perspectives, exercises and sufficient time to debate and share of experiences.
The day was started by Fuaad Buras (AMEL Co-Founder) who set the scene by outlining some of the new developments in APPS 8. He presented a new framework where the new APPS 8 features are assessed from a business case and ROI perspective as well as implementation and risks perspectives.
Mr James Greaves (Systems Manager at Portsmouth Aviation -An Early Adopter of APPS 8) presented their APPS 8 implementation experience, lessons and tips.
The day was concluded by Fuaad Buras presenting an end to end AMEL methodology for developing APPS 8 upgrade strategy covering three key components: 1) Strategic Planning; 2) Project Delivery; 3) Business Case & Benefits Realisation Planning. These three components are key in preparing any organisation who is thinking about upgrading to APPS 8 in the future.
The debate and discussions were very constructive and informative with several tips and directional advice from Bil Tilbury (IFS UK).
